Good evening, readers. Time to settle in for Melanie’s interview, second to last of the Riccoli interview posts!
How old are you today, June 1, 1990? I’m eight!
Who is in your family? My mommy and daddy, my two big sisters and my little baby sister.
Chose five words to describe you. Funny, nice, silly, adventurous, and sweet n sour
What is your favorite food? I can’t decide, so I have two! Honey mustard chicken and potatoes and I also love macaroni and cheese.
What is your idea of a perfect day? Riding my bike to get ice cream on a no-school day with my best friend, Brianna, and playing at the park all day until the streetlights come on!
What are your favorite hobbies or obsessions? I love animals, especially cats and bunnies. I like fairies and My Little Ponies. I like to read and color and draw and use my imagination the best!
What is your greatest fear? Emergencies and anything with lots of blood.
What has been one of your favorite memories so far? Well, usually my big sister Hannie ignores me and is mean to me, but one night, she let Lily and me come into her room and she painted our nails and did our hair up all pretty!
Who do you most admire? My sister, Hannah. She’s the coolest and has the best clothes that she never lets me try on or anything but she does a ton of fun stuff.
What are your biggest values? I really want everyone to be kind and there to be peace in the world.
What is your biggest secret? I take Hannah’s diary every night and read it with my flashlight under my covers after Lily falls asleep.
What does your bedroom look like? I got to choose the color because I was born before Lily, so it has very light purple walls and a big fuzzy purple rug in the middle. I have purple sheets and a Blossom (she’s a Little Pony) quilt. My baby doll, Rachel, has her crib right at the foot of my bed so I can get to her if she cries at night. Lily and I like to play in our room so sometimes there are toys everywhere and Mommy makes us put them away before bed.
What is your favorite room in your home? That’s hard…I love my room but I like Jennie and Hannah’s room because it’s way cooler. And I like Mom and Dad’s room because I love their huge bed!
What really annoys you? When Hannie yells at me and calls me a brat and doesn’t let me play with her.
