It’s that time again, Readers! The ‘get to know you’ question and answer blog where we do our best to find some interesting tidbits we may not know about each other and let you learn more about the authors behind the pen: Here are a few randoms.
1. What is the silliest fear you have?
Emily: fear of squirrels. I’m seriously so afraid of them I am convinced they taunt me and will make a point to get away from them as quickly as possible.
Erin: I can’t sleep when it’s dark. I have to be able to see my bedroom door in order to sleep.
2. If you could have any animal as a pet, what would you choose?
Erin: Unicorn! Or a bunny. Or another kitty companion for Soleil.
Emily: If I didn’t need to clean up after it, I’d foster an elephant but not have it live with me.
3. What is the most annoying habit someone can have?
Emily: I think it’s annoying when someone thinks it’s fashionable to be late. It’s not.
Erin: Constant fidgeting. Pen clicking, leg shuffling, foot tapping, and the worst of them all – over crinkling bags of chips. Just dump them in a bowl for the love of all kitties!
4. What food is delicious but a pain to eat?
Erin: Strawberries. I love them, but the seeds hurt the roof of my mouth.
Emily: Cherries because the pits are just the pits.
5. What is your favorite holiday?
Emily: I’d say Christmas based solely on its mood magic despite the cold weather.
Erin: Halloween! Adorable costumes and yummy candy!
6. What’s something that everyone, absolutely everyone, in the entire world can agree on?
Erin: The moon is not made of green cheese.
Emily: Your job doesn’t define your soul.
7. What is the most embarrassing piece of clothing you own?
Emily: A Days of our Lives sweatshirt that has a date of 1996, no more fluff, and ripped sleeves. But I cannot part with it.
Erin: A pink Florida shirt that was gifted to me by my grandparents in the mid-1990s. I wore it as a nightie then.
8. What kinds of things do you like to cook or are good at cooking?
Erin: I find that I’m an especially good baker of desserts like cookies, brownies, and pie. I also like to experiment with different chicken recipes and also making different soups. I make a white bean and tomato soup that is really good. I can’t seem to do a lot with rice and I’m decent at pasta but no Pasta Master like my bestie!
Emily: I like to cook buttery scalloped potatoes with garlic and onion powders. I like cooking for me because I know what I like. Quesadillas too.
9. Which season are you most active in?
Emily: I enjoy being out in spring and summer. But like a bear, I tend to hibernate in cold weather. It hurts my skin.
Erin: Once it gets warm enough, I love to bike, swim, and go for walks outside. I’d say I’m most active in the spring, summer, and early fall months.
10. What’s the most recent show you’ve binge watched?
Erin: The Umbrella Academy and I’ve started The Fosters, yet again!
Emily: The Practice & Growing Pains on Amazon Prime because the past is never gone.
